About Call-Light
Call-Light is an on-demand health care platform that connects care seeking clients with trusted nurses and clinicians to provide in-home health care anytime, anywhere. All communications, bookings, and payments are managed through the Call-Light web-based application.
For clients, the benefit of using Call-Light is that you are able to choose your care provider rather than having one dispatched to you by a home health care agency. The Call-Light platform provides transparency into a care provider’s experience, capabilities, and past performance — allowing you to make an informed decision about who to hire for a caregiving job. Hiring care providers directly through Call-Light is also more affordable than working with a home health care agency.
For nurses and clinicians, Call-Light gives you the power to find your own clients, review a client’s ratings from past jobs, and request a meeting prior to accepting a job opportunity. You can also set your own rates based on the job criteria. Your career is literally in the your own hands!
Call-Light will officially launch in 2023, but we are currently registering nurses and clinicians now here.
No, currently the Call-Light platform is a web-based app only.
There is no membership fee for care providers to create a profile on Call-Light or for clients to post a caregiving job opportunity. When a care provider invoices a client for a job, Call-Light adds a 5% platform fee to that transaction – to be paid by the client. Using Call-Light to directly hire a skilled care provider instead of using a home healthcare agency is also significantly less expensive for clients — all while ensuring that nurses get paid their desired rate!
No, all Call-Light caregiving jobs are private pay. At this time, we do not integrate with any insurance plans or federal programs for reimbursement.
Clients can hire nurses and clinicians for any type of caregiving job — from a one-time visit for a housebound patient, to long-term or even 24/7 care for an elderly patient. Examples of caregiving jobs include:
- Hospital to home transitional care
- Pre-operative care and post-operative care
- Prenatal care and postpartum care
- Newborn care and pediatric care
- Geriatric care and memory care
- Palliative care, hospice care, and end of life care
- Acute care or chronic care
Caregiving jobs can take place in a patient’s home or any other location, and the hours and terms of each job are negotiated directly between the client and care provider. Call-Light carefully vets all care seekers before they can create a profile on the platform.

Care Provider FAQs
Once your registration has been approved, you can log into the Call-Light app to create a new account for yourself as a Care Provider. Your profile will also display the number of jobs you have booked as well as client reviews and ratings.
Vetted clients post caregiving jobs on the Call-Light platform, which you can search using filters based on your specific criteria. Click on a job to view more details, read reviews about the client from previous care providers, and apply for the job if it’s a good match.
Clients and care providers are both able to message each other through the built-in messenger in the Call-Light app. If you prefer to meet via phone or video chat, you may directly arrange that meeting outside of the app. During the meeting, clients and care providers can discuss the parameters of a job opportunity, the risk factors (if any) to the care provider, the hours and pay rate, and any other relevant details. All negotiations take place directly between clients and care providers.
Before starting a job, make sure that you and your client agree on how and when you will invoice for a job (i.e., end of shift, end of week, end of job, etc.). You can create and send invoices directly through the Job Details page on your dashboard. Care seekers must pay an invoice within 24 hours of receiving it, or they will be unable to post another job on the app. Payments will go directly to the Stripe account you set up in the app during onboarding.

Once a care provider applies for the job, you can review their Call-Light profile and ratings from past jobs. You must provide your nurse or clinician with at least 24 hours notice before canceling a job so that they have adequate time to book another job. If you cancel a job with less than 24 hours notice, you will still be obligated to pay the care provider for that specific shift.
